This draft Magnox decision document sets out the proposed decisions of the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, the Secretary of State for Health, (the Ministers) and the National Assembly for Wales, (NAW), under the Radioactive Substances Act 1993 and the Ministers under the Justification of Practices Involving Ionising Radiation Regulations 2004 concerning the applications of British Nuclear Fuels plc to dispose of or accumulate radioactive wastes on or from eight Magnox sites and the Environment Agency's decisions and recommendations with regard to the applications.
This draft consultation document is being sent almost exclusively to those members of the public who made representation to Ministers. Therefore it would not be appropriate to publish a list of consultees as there could be data protection issues if they are individual members of the public.
The deadline for responses is 16 January 2006.
