A report on the virtues of "ubiquitous computing" notes that students would cheat by sending answers to each other via instant messages. The university is trying to overcome this by blocking access to all websites other than that on which the test resides, but it expects the students to become more resourceful.
Meanwhile the powers-that-be at Thames Valley University are investigating why passers-by seeking to use the university's wireless network connections are greeted with the message "phuk off".
