TVU scores with FE

五月 7, 1999

Thames Valley University has been judged one of the country's top providers of further education courses, writes Alan Thomson.

Twenty-eight (71 per cent) of the 40 TVU further education courses inspected by the Further Education Funding Council were judged to be excellent or good. The FEFC said that it was an above average result. Of remaining 12 courses inspected, 11 were satisfactory and one was unsatisfactory. About 3,300 TVU students, more than a fifth, are on FE courses.

The FEFC report is welcome news following the upheavals caused by last November's damning Quality Assurance Agency report. Acting vice-chancellor Sir William Taylor said it was heartening and boded well for the future.
