Travelling light, travelling free

四月 9, 2004

More than a dozen students from Aberdeen University have staged a "jailbreak" to see how far they could get from the city in 36 hours without spending any money on transport, as part of a charity fundraising attempt. The winning team made it as far as Paris, courtesy of Eurostar. Another team got to Jersey on five trains and the Weymouth ferry. Team member Darren Murphy said: "Midland Mainland put us in first class and gave us free food."
