Brussels, 06 Apr 2004

The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and the European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO) are organising a joint conference on ageing, to be held in Heidelberg, Germany, on 5 and 6 November.

The conference will focus on what human genetics and biology have uncovered about the nature of time and ageing in living organisms. Participants will be encouraged to discuss issues such as 'circadian rhythms', developmental clocks, genetic re-programming, the genetics of ageing, chromosomal erosion, and 'apoptosis'. The event will also aim to make common sense of all the relevant biological research.
