Thanks, but no thanks

四月 28, 2006

The vice-chancellor of the University of Central Lancashire has been rapped by some of his staff - for thanking them. Malcolm McVicar praised staff for giving up their Saturday on an Open Day only to receive a curt response. A statement from union members reads: "We would like to wholeheartedly thank the vice-chancellor for the thanks he gave to all staff. We are particularly grateful because to our knowledge it is the first time anyone from senior management has had the courtesy to thank staff for their attendance and weekend working. We would also like to thank senior management staff who attended this event in large numbers for the first time."
