Technology transfer in Russia - forthcoming call for tenders

The European Commission has published a service contract forecast for science and technology commercialisation under the Tacis Russia programme, on behalf of Russia.

Taking into account the results already achieved by previous Tacis projects: 'science and technology development in the Russian market economy' (Tacis, action programme 96) and 'innovation centres and scientific cities' (Tacis, action programme 98) this project will address problems not yet tackled with the aim of strengthening innovation in science and technology in the Russian Federation, including the development and implementation of a comprehensive State innovation policy.

The project will mainly deal with the development of major areas and principles of innovation activity; the development of innovation infrastructure, a key element in the exploitation of research and development (R&D) results in industry and part of the State's overall innovation infrastructure; expanding links between R&D institutes and the business environment; the regulation of intellectual property issues in relations between researchers and producers; and the implementation of commercialisation mechanisms for R&D results in cooperation with small and medium sized enterprise (SME) support institutions.
