Technology fund targets sustainable energy

三月 9, 2001

The government is targeting research into biomaterials, sustainable energy, nanotechnology and mobile wireless communications with a £15 million technology fund.

Science minister Lord Sainsbury announced the third round of Foresight Link awards this week, inviting companies and research organisations to submit bids in partnership by June.

The money is prioritised for research into new materials to repair skin, bone or organs, low-emission power sources that use clean fuels, micromachines to improve computer efficiency and technologies to kick-start the e-economy.
