SYNTHESYS integrated infrastructure initiative invites proposals for access grants

SYNTHESYS, an integrated infrastructure initiative involving 20 of Europe's most prestigious natural history institutions and funded under the research infrastructures priority of the Sixth Framework Programme, has launched a call for proposals for short stay research grants.

SYNTHESIS funding is available to allow scientists based in Member States, candidate and associated countries to undertake short visits to use the infrastructures of the 20 partner institutions for the purposes of their research.

Applications are welcome from high calibre researchers seeking access for short term visits, and funding may be used to cover the costs of research, international travel, local accommodation and a contribution towards living expenses. The application form is available online from 2 August.
