Engineering academics have launched a three-year initiative to persuade more Welsh students to study science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects. Swansea University engineers from the Bloodhound Engineering Adventure, which aims to break the world land speed record, will visit Welsh secondary schools to stress the importance of studying STEM subjects and highlight the engineering career choices available. As the campaign progresses, more in-depth technical issues relating to the Bloodhound project will be introduced.
