The international institute of women in engineering (IIWE) is organising a three week summer seminar entitled 'women engineers: pushing the limits' from 1 to 20 July in Paris, France.

The goal of the seminar is to present the challenges that women face as international engineers and prepare them for the future, helping participants to discover their real values and show how engineers can balance their professional and family lives.

The seminar includes sessions on:
- the history of engineering;
- engineering education worldwide;
- women in management;
- managing women engineers;
- ethics;
- sustainable development;
- networking.

The programme also includes industrial visits and round table discussions, and the organisers emphasise that the seminar is open to both men and women.
