Study on improving complementarity of national and Community non-nuclear energy research

The European Commission has published a call for tenders to carry out a study on ways of improving complementarity and synergy between national and Community research in the field of non-nuclear energy.

The study is to focus specifically on activities carried out as part of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), and their contribution to the creation of the European Research Area (ERA) as well as the promotion of innovation.

The study aims to provide decision makers in Member States and associated countries with improved knowledge and understanding of non-nuclear energy research activities in Europe, and on ERA related issues, with a view to promoting a more coordinated approach

The contract will be awarded with a particular focus on the following criteria:
- practicability of the proposed approach for accomplishing the tasks, taking into account the reliability and relevance of the proposed methodology; - quality of the overall management of the study, particularly as regards the realistic allocation of time and financial and human resources to the various tasks and stages of the study.

The total indicative budget for this call is estimated at 200 000 to 250 000 euro.
