Austrian students are being invited to contribute to the "longest letter of complaints in the world", which they plan to send to the country's education minister.
The campaign has been launched by the biggest of the students' union factions, the AktionsGemeinschaft, with the motto "We pay, we demand".
For the next two weeks, students with a gripe about their university can lodge their complaint by email via a special website or complain in person at a complaints bus that will be travelling between universities .
AG board member Johannes Kozlik said: "In our opinion the universities in Austria don't fulfil their task. And now we have to pay, (about €406 (£250) per semester) so we feel we have more rights to demand change."
According to the AG, the response to the campaign has been "unique", with dozens of complaints registered within the first two hours.
