Staff downed tools at Brunel University this week for a one-day strike to kick off a period of industrial action that will include a boycott of assessment and examinations.
The Association of University Teachers is fighting plans to make up to 60 academics redundant. It is understood that a major review of degree courses in the School of Social Sciences and Law, which would have approved a new degree programme, was postponed because of the action.
A university spokeswoman said: "This has no impact on course approvals or the review process; there is plenty of time for both. Postponements happen, and reviews are easily rescheduled."
