Space: Leuven workshop to focus on European Space Policy and the media

A European Space Policy Workshop entitled 'Enlarging Space Policy Debate' will take place in Leuven, Belgium on 4 February 2004. Speakers will include European Astronaut Frank De Winne and European Research Commissioner Philippe Busquin.

The Workshop is the fourth in a series co-organised by Systemics Network International (SNI), a Brussels-based space consultancy, and the Institute for International Law at the Catholic University of Leuven. It is being supported by European Space Agency (ESA), the European Commission and the British National Space Centre.

The event will focus on how to raise interest in space-related matters among the general public through various media. Joining De Winne and Busquin will be representatives from ESA, the European Commission and the European and Belgian parliaments, as well as film-makers, editors, and journalists.
