An intelligent exoskeleton developed by researchers at Abertay Dundee University could help cut physiotherapy waiting times.
Researchers in Abertay's School of Computing and Creative Technologies have developed the NeXOS exoskeleton that can be programmed to remember and repeat specific limb movements.
NeXOS can exercise patients' legs without the need for a physiotherapist, which means many more patients could be treated. Some 28,000 people are on waiting lists for physiotherapy in Scotland.
