SIG proposal to formulate a future strategy for COST

The discussion paper "A strategy for COST 2003" dated 26 January 2003 will be presented as a room paper at the 152nd CSO meeting.

It is quite clear that our peers expect the CSO to improve procedures and planning. Therefore, the intention is to have a general discussion at this meeting on to what extent the CSO should define its strategy.

The CSO is thus invited to decide to prepare a strategy for COST that can be presented to the Ministerial Conference for approval.

Even though the intention is not to have a detailed discussion on the strategy itself at this meeting, comments are invited, either in the meeting or in electronic form in advance, to elaborate the present draft.
