The SIG Group at its meeting on 24 January 2003 decided to propose to the CSO the following:
1. To extend the mandate of Ad Hoc Working Group on Biomaterials until 31 December 2003 to permit two more meetings in order to complete the tasks of the Group.
2. To accept the establishment of the Strategic Group on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (working title NanoTech) with a duration in principle of three years based on new membership and a new mandate. The situation would be re-evaluated in the beginning of 2004.
