Shared danger

An artist-in-residence at the University of Brighton is to make a series of films about the threat of global warming. David Harradine's films will feature a human or animal dancing in different landscapes. The artist aims to question the separation of humans from animals, and culture from nature. Mr Harradine's post is funded with a £12,000 grant from the Leverhulme Trust. He will work with Julie Doyle, principal lecturer in media studies in the School of Arts and Media. His work featured at the Brighton Festival last year, in a show titled An Infinite Line: Brighton.
