The European Commission has launched a call for expressions of interest for selection of the '.eu' top level domain (TLD) registry.
Regulation on the implementation of the '.eu' TLD was adopted in April 2002. This regulation provides for the designation by the European Commission of a TLD which will be entrusted with the organisation, administration and management of the '.eu' TLD.
The purpose of this call for expressions of interest is to invite applications from organisation wishing to be considered as candidates for the registry selection procedure.

Remarks: The deadline for submitting expression of interest documents is 25.10.2002.
