Scottish pay action

十二月 20, 2002

Staff at the Scottish Agricultural College have voted to take industrial action next month. Some 84 per cent of members of trade union Prospect backed the move; the turnout was 75 per cent.

Union negotiator Alan Denney said: "This result sends a clear message to management that staff will not accept a deal that amounts to a zero pay increase for over 80 per cent of staff."

A college spokesperson said: "SAC will continue to work with the union to seek a solution." The college has sites in Aberdeen, Ayr and Edinburgh.
