Glasgow and Strathclyde universities have unveiled plans to become a joint research resource for the Scottish Parliament. Having recently signed an agreement recognising one another as "preferred partners" in research, they say they can offer the parliament an "unrivalled opportunity" to harness the work of more than 1,000 staff conducting research in areas relevant to the parliament's responsibilities.
