Scottish education minister Brian Wilson said he has set aside Pounds 1.4 million for further education and Pounds 880,000 for the Scottish University for Industry.

Ronald Crawford, secretary of the Committee of Scottish Higher Education Principals, said he was deeply disappointed but looked forward to the outcome of the comprehensive spending review.
