In preparation of the 161st meeting of the CSO the attached proposal by the COST Office will be examined by JAF at its meeting on 16/ 17 February 2005.
Comments, in particular from delegations not represented in the JAF Group, possibly in the form of suggested amendments, should be sent to the COST Secretariat (cost@consilium.eu.int) with copies to the President (francesco.fedi@tiscali.it) and the COST Office (amayer@cost.esf.org) by 14 February 2005 at the latest.

The budget envisaged for 2005 remains substantially as set out in the document presented to the CSO in May 2004 (doc. COST 6/04). The revised allocation to Actions in the current year is given in Annex. Part of the funds planned for new Actions (1 M ) has been incorporated into this table given the new fast starts to Actions agreed in December 2004 and to be agreed in March 2005.
