Subject: Proposal for a Council Regulation on the establishment of structures for the management of the European satellite radionavigation programme
Delegations will find, in Annex 1, a revised draft text of the above-mentioned regulation, presented by the Presidency.
A joint Council / Commission statement (or paragraph in possible Council conclusions) could accompany the adoption of the Regulation, which would read:
The Council and the Commission recall that, after that the Council has been informed by the Commission on the results of the tendering procedure, the necessary decisions will be taken by the Council on the deployment and operational phases, including on the maximum available Community funds for these phases. Both institutions agree that the adoption of this Regulation does not prejudice the outcome of above-mentioned decisions. They also agree that the Commission should already start the procedures to set up without delay the GALILEO Supervisory Authority, in accordance with the draft Regulation.
All delegations and the Commission retain a general scrutiny reservation on the text.
