The European Commission has published a prior information notice on studies related to energy research and development issues under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6).
The information notice refers to four study areas:
- (a) targeted analysis of strategic energy research and technology development (RTD) issues for the establishment of a specialised reference (energy technology review) for policy-making support based on energy technology trends and perspectives of ongoing research;
- (b) 'SWOT' studies on priority energy technologies (comparison of strengths, weaknesses, achievements/opportunities, performance and threats);
- (c) scoreboard of EU energy RTD projects (presentation and analysis of status, progress of EU, non-nuclear energy RTD projects in their overall context).;
- (d) comparative analysis of mechanisms, practices and results with regard to innovation and market-transfer of energy RDT results, in the European Community and national programmes.
