A statement is expected today over the future of a college principal found to have discrepancies in his employment records. Duane Arnold has been on leave of absence from St Chad's College, an independent college of the University of Durham, since the beginning of this month while university and college governors discussed misleading information found in his work permit application and Who's Who entry. His wife, Janet, the university's part-time director of development, has also taken three months' leave.
