Popular game gets UK launch

A more challenging version of the fastest-selling independent board-game in the United States has been unveiled at Heriot-Watt University by its creator Richard Tait.

Mr Tait, who studied computer science at the university, launched the British version of Cranium at its student union. After graduating, he worked for Microsoft, where he devised the game with colleague Whit Alexander.

Mr Tait said: "Everything, from the celebrities players impersonate, to the tunes they're asked to hum, has been adapted for a UK audience. We rewrote the content from scratch to make the questions more challenging and the humour more tongue in cheek."
