Quantum transport expert Anton Zeilinger, of the University of Vienna, came up with a novel idea in his keynote address at a meeting last month to celebrate the 90th birthday of John Wheeler, the man who came up with the idea of black holes.

Professor Zeilinger said that quantum reality wouldn't seem so weird if only we were exposed to the subject at nursery age. He plans to devise a game with slits and counters to show pre-school children what happens when you turn interference on and off.
