Oxford research grant income up 10 per cent

Oxford University's income from research grants and contracts rose by 10 per cent last year (1999-2000) to £130 million. For the first time the value of research grants from United Kingdom charities (£44.7 million) overtook that from research councils (£43.5 million). Oxford's total research income was £197 million.
