A police operation to apprehend clients of street prostitutes netted the man who performed Canada's first heart transplant. Wilbert Keon is to step down as director-general of the University of Ottawa's heart institute after he was arrested during a three-day sweep in late November. Police say he tried to solicit sex from an undercover policewoman. Dr Keon, who says he was just trying to engage in conversation, was not charged, but he did have to spend time in "john school", a seminar designed for men with no criminal record.
