No handicap on quiz

十月 18, 2002

Higher education minister Margaret Hodge - who graduated with a third-class degree - has ticked off vice-chancellors for failing a test on the new disability laws. Disability group Skill asked university heads to complete a quiz; scores ranged from 55 per cent to a "very suspicious" 100 per cent.

On hearing this Ms Hodge said: "I hope vice-chancellors, admission officers and tutors are by now fully aware of the requirements as laid out by the new disability legislation covering education. They should all be able to answer these questions correctly."
