No aspersions on Henshaw

In the article on death in the air (THES, March 29), I am quoted as having stated that the National Radiological Protection Board saw Denis Henshaw's paper as a way of setting up his case for more funding. I cannot recall precisely what I said, but I am happy to clarify that neither I nor the board intended to cast any aspersions on his motivation and I regret any contrary impression that might have been created.
