NHS: Service Delivery and Organisation R&D Programme

Deadline: 02/10/2002

九月 29, 2003

The NHS Service Delivery and Organisation (SDO) Research and Development Programme is a national R & D programme that has been established to consolidate and develop the evidence base on the organisation, management and delivery of health care services.

The SDO Programme is now inviting proposals to conduct the following primary research project under the theme of access to health care: What are the organisational factors that influence waiting times in A&E Departments and what mechanisms are available to improve waiting times?

The NHS are seeking full proposals from interested researchers with a track record of work in this field to undertake empirical research to investigate factors which affect waiting times in A&E departments. The funding available for this primary research topic is up to £200,000. One project is likely to be funded, which should start no later than March 2003 and take no longer than two years to complete.
