Human Rights Watch has accused China of attempting to interfere with the free flow of information at home and abroad, including academic research in open sources. It says a strong resolution censuring China for widespread violations of human rights at the next annual meeting of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights in Geneva would have more than symbolic meaning.
