University College Chichester
Richard Bunker , director for education and the arts for West Sussex, has been appointed chair of the university college's governing body.
Hong Kong University of Science & Technology
The business school has elected two corporate advisors to its board: Paula DeLisle , managing consultant, vice president and board member of Watson Wyatt and Company; Estella Ng , senior vice president of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Steve DeKrey , associate dean and director of postgraduate programmes at the school has been appointed member of the board of governors of AmCham, the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.

The society's 2001 Lampitt Medal in recognition of SCI members who have contributed outstanding service to the society has been awarded to:
Jennifer Mordue , reader at the department of zoology, University of Aberdeen and chair of SCI Scotland and David Green , former ICI and Hoechst director and SCI council chairman.
