Net censors sought

The Australian Broadcasting Authority is advertising for staff to help it implement a controversial new federal censorship law. The authority has been given the job of filtering out pornographic content from the millions of web sites that are accessed from Australia every day.

Academics and

IT experts believe the task is impossible but that it may have a serious impact on the work of some researchers. Staff appointed by the ABA will liaise with internet service providers to try to ensure that X-rated content does not enter
