Lawyers representing victims of what has been described as the largest mass poisoning in history are seeking to take their case to the House of Lords after it was thrown out by the Court of Appeal. Legal firm Leigh Day represents 600 Bangladeshis who claim that the British Geological Survey, a branch of the Natural Environment Research Council, was negligent when a pilot research study into groundwater in Bangladesh failed to test for the presence of arsenic.
