More research needed

The University of the West of England's "Research and Knowledge Exchange Committee" is suffering an identity crisis. After being asked by managers to change its name from plain old "research committee", it realised it didn't know what "knowledge exchange" meant. "There is mounting confusion arising from a lack of definition over what, precisely, KE means and how it differs from 'research'," one disgruntled committee member said. UWE's outgoing vice chancellor, Sir Howard Newby, promised a clarification; as yet, none has emerged.
