Orthogem, a young company developing synthetic bone-graft material that substantially lowers the infection risk to patients has won innovation funding to bring the idea to market. The technology is based on the private research of Wei Jen Lo, an orthopaedic materials scientist from Nottingham University. It was developed in the department of materials at Loughborough University.
