An ethnic Albanian has had his candidacy for Macedonia's presidential elections challenged because he studied in Croatia. Macedonian law demands that presidential candidates must have lived in Macedonia for at least ten of the past 15 years. Physician and dentist Muharem Nexhippi disputes the challenge, maintaining that his postgraduate training in Zagreb was completed as an employee of Macedonia-based Bitola Medical Centre.
