Liverpool Hope University - Humanitarian interventions

六月 11, 2009

A group of 26 students at Liverpool Hope University will take part in an international volunteering programme. The team will spend between two and four weeks abroad, helping with schemes ranging from a child-focused community development project in Romania to work with non-governmental organisations in southeastern Brazil. The university's Global Hope scheme intends to make lasting contributions to developing or deprived communities and build long-term relationships with local people. Alice Bennett, service and leadership award and scheme co-ordinator at Liverpool Hope, said: "This is a unique university-led initiative that enables students and staff to take part in life-changing voluntary projects in developing global communities."
