PCC warns over prince's privacy
The Press Complaints Commission was today issuing a reminder to the media over Prince William’s privacy rights at university. He will be drawing the cameras away from St Andrews tomorrow by undertaking a series of engagements in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Britain confident of germ warfare defence
Britain is adequately equipped to deal with an attack by terrorists using germ warfare, a government microbiologist has said. Nigel Lightfoot, consultant medical microbiologist at the Public Health Laboratory Service, said: “We have been working for the past three years with the Department of Health to prepare plans to deal with these threats.”
Clone scientist expelled
Severino Antinori, the scientist who wants to clone a human baby, has been expelled from the Association of Private Assisted Reproductive Technology Clinics and Laboratories. His opponents have accused him of wrecking the association’s Third World Congress that he was organising in Monte Carlo.
