Scotland drives e-science initiative
Edinburgh and Glasgow universities are to collaborate in a National E-Science Centre. It is the first initiative in the government’s £98 million e-science programme that aims to create the next generation of the worldwide web.
Enrolments slow in further education
Fewer people are studying in further education colleges, according to government statistics published today. Some 3.7 million students were enrolled at further education colleges last year - a decline of 1.8 per cent on the previous year.
