NUS targets marginal seats
The National Union of Students is encouraging students to help swing marginal seats in the general election by targeting a small number of constituencies where the MP’s majority is smaller than the area’s student population. They include that of junior health minister Gisela Stuart, Labour MP for Birmingham Edgbaston, and Nick St Aubyn, Conservative MP for Guildford.

Tories question Blair over business school
The Conservatives were today pursuing prime minister Tony Blair following claims that his office exerted pressure over planning permission for the Saïd Business School at Oxford University. Education secretary David Blunkett has played down the claims.
