(Photograph) - Jenny Osborn-Jones, aged 22, is in the fourth year of a degree in health studies at the University of Central Lancashire. In a wheelchair since infancy, she chose the university for its accessibility and the helpfulness of the staff.

'It was also very important that university life was not going to be just about my degree, but also having a few wild years with my mates. Fully partaking in student life included being able to get to the student union, especially the bars.'

Ms Osborn-Jones outlines her experiences in a book published today by Skill, the national bureau for students with disabilities, which aims to promote higher education for disabled people.
