A Japanese university has become the latest to have some of its library digitised by search engine Google. Keio University will be the first in Japan to join the project, which already involves 25 other universities such as Oxford and Harvard. Some 120,000 books from the university's library will be included in the programme, which allows access to the books' content via the internet. The company said the books used would be out of copyright.
