Attentive readers of Peep's Diary may recall that when Elly Rothnie, events manager at Aberdeen University, was listed as 30th most eligible woman in Scotland last year, she said that ranking would have to do because being placed two years in a row would make her look less than eligible.
But Ms Rothnie, now working on the university's multimillion-pound Sixth Century campaign, features again this year. In fact, she has shot up four places to number 26 in the bachelorette league table.
Ms Rothnie confides that her first Valentine's Day date failed to live up to expectations: "We were forced to eat at a burger bar as my beau had forgotten to book anywhere."
Prospective suitors should note that in addition to having expensive restaurant tastes, her dream date would be Viggo Mortensen, which might explain why she is still on the list.
