Brussels, 13 Mar 2006

An international workshop entitled 'Products from plants: the biorefinery future' is being organised by the EPOBIO consortium, and will take place in Wageningen, the Netherlands, from 22 to 24 May.

EPOBIO is a scientific support to policy initiative funded under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6). The event aims to address issues relating to realising the economic potential of biorenewables and sustainable resources for manufacture.

The organisers are seeking the input of senior academics, industrialists and policy makers to identify and design flagship research and development projects for development over the coming years, to ensure that pre-competitive research is targeted at sustainable products that will benefit society.
