University press officers are always keen to present problems as opportunities. But even so the University of Central England appeared to be accentuating the positive to an astonishing degree when it issued a press release pointing to "New serious mental health opportunities" at UCE. We're happy to report that the sanity of the university staff remains intact - the headline referred to the appointment of Paul Carling, an expert in serious mental health, as a visiting professor.
